Season 8 raises the player level cap to 450. That gives long-time players more rank to climb, while the new Battle Royale tutorial gives first-timers a way into the mode. The Honkai Impact 3rd collaboration adds a top-down roguelike shooter mode and a Quantum Platform where Honkai Beasts appear. New weapons include the Static-HV SMG and the ISO Hemlock assault rifle. Most of the update is tied to this season and the Honkai event, so its headline content has a limited run.
