Play starts with one city and a map of a million tiles dotted with historical fortresses, passes and ports. Over a hundred generals can be recruited, and each carries tactics such as 燕人咆哮 and 一身是膽. Five troop types counter one another, so lineup choices matter in battle. Alliances hold up to 200 members, and spies may hide among them. The terrain is real, but the setting is limited to the Three Kingdoms period.
