Rise of Kingdoms is built around real-time multiplayer, so it needs a connection to reach a shared world of more than 80,000 players. You pick one of 15 historical civilizations, each with its own architecture, special units and bonuses. Commanders such as Julius Caesar, Cao Cao and Joan of Arc lead your armies. The Free March feature lets you surround a position or hit an enemy from behind. Choose a civilization early, since its traits shape which commanders suit you.
