Echoes of Aincrad Review
You play a custom-built avatar trapped inside the death game of Sword Art Online, starting from the Town of Beginnings and climbing the floating castle of Aincrad. Combat runs in real time against enemies that roam the fields, and weapons such as one-handed swords and two-handed axes change your style. Between fights you give orders to companions, collect materials to upgrade gear and learn new Sword Skills as you level. The adventure is single-player only on PS5. Quests come from townspeople and other players, so expect plenty of fetch-and-hunt errands.
