Newcomers to the series are covered by a Beginner Mode and a Guidance Scenario, so earlier Super Robot Wars games are not required reading. Combat centers on the Twin Battle System, where two units team up, plus weapon switching and the paired Maximum Break attack. Battle scenes use 3D backgrounds and moving cameras on PS4.
