Every one of the 11 game modes comes with its own mechanics, so a session shifts rules constantly. That suits a living room with two to four people and spare controllers, since all multiplayer here is local. Food characters fight with explosions, shots and pushes, and finishing challenges unlocks more of them. Computer-controlled food bots fill empty slots on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Online play is not mentioned, and solo sessions lose the point of the friendship-ruining chaos.
