Progress runs through a sugoroku-style board map, so battles arrive one event at a time and not as free exploration. Still, the combat is simple: tap the ki orbs on screen to fire special attacks. Characters are trained and awakened, and attribute and category decide how a strong team is built. Events include the Tenkaichi Budokai and the harder Extreme Z-Battle. Newcomers should start with the Trunks story.
