You start with a single city and grow it by attacking resource tiles, then upgrading buildings that unlock new functions. Over a hundred generals, a wide pool of tactics and five troop types let lineups counter one another. The map spans about a million tiles with more than a hundred historical cities. Alliances hold up to 200 members. Matches run on a long strategic clock, so progress is slow.
