A castle lord in Sengoku Japan trains six skills: martial arts, rhetoric, tea ceremony, arithmetic, smithing and architecture. Martial training opens schools such as Shinkage-ryu and Ichto-ryu, and can yield rare equipment. Troop-type counters and battle-art pairings shape the retainer team. Resources also come from NPC tokens and mini-games, so farming is not the only route. Territory battles rely on clans of up to 200 members, which suits players who want group play.
