Your troops cover 300 miles toward the Demon Lord and fight automatically, so the player decides when to step in. Soldiers respawn after death, but the commander does not, and a loss wipes soldiers, coins and items. Only artifacts carry over, which makes each restart stronger. Most progress comes from idle upgrades and a looping dungeon, so manual control stays limited. Suits patient upgraders.
